AMETEK Drexelbrook ThePoint Loop Powered Level Switch
Reliable RF Admittance Level Switch with No Moving Parts and Cote‑Shield Protection
ABLE Instruments are AMETEK Drexelbrook’s Exclusive Representative for Sales and Service in the UK and Ireland, including ‘ThePoint’ Loop Powered Level Switch. The ThePoint – Loop Powered Level Switch employs RF admittance technology to provide highly reliable point‑level detection in liquids, slurries, solids or interface applications. With no moving parts and built-in auto‑calibration, it delivers stable performance even in coating-prone or viscous media. Cote‑Shield™ circuitry ensures immunity to deposits, build‑up or false triggering due to material residue.
Key Features:
- RF admittance technology: Accurate point‑level switching with no moving parts for total reliability
- Auto‑calibration: Simply apply power—no manual setpoint adjustments needed
- Cote‑Shield protection: Ignores coatings, build‑up or residue on the probe
- Maintenance‑free operation: Eliminates wear and jamming from mechanical switches
- Loop‑powered supply: Operates on 2‑wire 4–20 mA loop, no separate mains required
- DPDT relay output: Dry‑contact switching (5 A at 120 VAC / 2 A at 230 VAC)
- Wide application range: Effective in liquids, slurries, solids and interface media
- Extreme environment rated: Probe‑rated up to +260 °C and 69 bar depending on configurations
- Remote or integral electronics: Flexible mounting to suit vessel configuration

Powered via a two‑wire loop (providing 4–20 mA output), it operates across a wide voltage range automatically and begins detection immediately after startup. The DPDT relay output enables control of instrumentation, alarms or pumps. Rated for demanding environments, it functions reliably in extreme conditions—up to temperatures of +260 °C and pressures of 69 bar, depending on probe selection.
