The Nestec 8000 Series is a pressure-tight flow switch that uses a mechanical piston design to detect flow/no-flow conditions with exceptional reliability. Designed for challenging industrial and OEM environments, it is commonly used in closed-loop cooling systems, pump protection circuits, offshore platforms, and heavy-duty hydraulic or fuel transfer lines.

Constructed with high-grade stainless steel or brass, the 8000 Series is built to withstand elevated system pressures and aggressive ambient conditions. The spring-loaded piston moves in response to fluid flow, activating a magnetically isolated reed switch. This switching action is unaffected by the media itself, allowing reliable detection even in systems with moderate particulates or flow pulsations.

Electrical outputs are available in SPST or SPDT formats, and units can be installed in either horizontal or vertical pipework. Various thread sizes, connection options and materials are available to suit water, oil, chemical, or process fluids.
