ABLE Instruments are an Official UK Representative for TriMod Besta Float Level Switches, including explosion proof models certified for use in hazardous areas. These robust float level switches are designed to deliver safe and dependable level control in environments with flammable gases, vapours or dusts, such as chemical plants, refineries, fuel storage systems and marine engine rooms.
Certified to ATEX, IECEx and other international standards, these switches are available with flameproof (Ex d) or increased safety (Ex e) enclosures depending on your zone classification. They maintain all the mechanical reliability of standard TriMod Besta switches but are built into heavy-duty, explosion-proof housings with certified cable entries and rugged casings.

As with all TriMod Besta models, the modular design allows for selection of a suitable float, process flange and switching element to match your exact application. Wetted parts are available in stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials, with options for vertical or horizontal mounting and operation under high pressures or temperatures.
Common use cases include hazardous liquid tanks, hydrocarbon separators, vapour degassing systems, offshore platforms and marine applications requiring DNV/Lloyd’s-approved instrumentation. Switches are offered with SPDT or DPDT outputs and can connect to control panels, alarms or interlock systems for fail-safe operation.
