The Armadex BT-Key-02 is a highly durable, intrinsically safe keyboard certified for use in ATEX Zone 2 and 22 environments, ensuring it can be used where there is a risk of explosive atmospheres, such as the outdoor areas of oil refineries or ventilated battery rooms. It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including Windows (versions 7, 8, and 10), MacOS, iOS, and Android systems, making it ideal for use with various Ex phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. This keyboard supports both Bluetooth and USB Type A connections, offering flexibility and ease of use.

Measuring 30.5 cm in width, 19.5 cm in length, and 4.5 cm in thickness, the keyboard’s compact design is complemented by its rugged construction. The black unit features white key print and blue function key highlights, ensuring clarity and durability. Rubber feet ensure stability on most surfaces, although the keyboard does not feature an angled design, so it lies flat.

This lightweight, portable keyboard is designed for easy cleaning, with a structure that prevents dust and moisture accumulation. Maintenance tasks such as cleaning and charging must be conducted outside hazardous areas to maintain safety.

Mounting options include an optional magnetic mount and VESA mounting pattern, suitable for fixed locations or vehicle use. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is optimised for longevity, entering sleep mode after 10 seconds of inactivity to conserve power, with an average use battery life of around eight weeks. A reliable Bluetooth connection can be maintained up to 10 meters away, automatically reconnecting when back in range.

The keyboard also features signal LEDs indicating battery status, charging mode, scroll lock, num lock, Bluetooth connectivity, power status, and caps lock, providing users with clear operational feedback.
