Mid-West Model 123 Piston Type Differential Pressure Gauge, 150 – 400 PSID

ABLE Instruments are Mid-West Instrument’s Official Representative for Sales and Service in the UK and Ireland, including the Model 123 Piston Type Differential Pressure Gauge (0-150 to 0-400 PSID or equivalent). The Model 123 is designed for systems with high differential pressure requirements, offering ranges from 0-150 PSID to 0-400 PSID. Engineered for accuracy and versatility, this differential pressure gauge can safely handle working pressures up to 4,000 PSI with a full-scale accuracy of ±3/2/3%. The Model 123 is equipped to meet the most demanding differential pressure (DP) measurement needs, ensuring reliable and precise readings.

Key features of the Model 123 include a rugged piston type sensing element housed in a glass-reinforced thermoplastic dial case, which is panel mountable. An anodized aluminium dial case option is available upon request. The gauge is built to withstand harsh environments, offering weather and corrosion resistance along with a shatter-resistant lens. It provides over-range protection for both high and low pressures, enhancing its durability and safety. Backed by a five-year warranty, the Model 123 promises long-term reliability.

Features:

  • Robust piston-type sensing element design
  • Panel-mountable dial case made of glass-reinforced thermoplastic (optional anodised aluminium dial case available; contact ABLE for more information)
  • Resistant to weather and corrosion
  • Shatter-resistant lens
  • Over-range protection for High over Low and Low over High

The gauge is available in dial sizes of 2-1/2”, 4-1/2”, and 6” diameters, with differential full-scale ascending accuracy of ±3/2/3% (ASME B40.1 Grade B). Dial scale ranges include 0-150 PSID to 0-400 PSID (0-10 bar to 0-27.0 bar), and a variety of scales such as Bar, Mbar, kPa, Kg/Cm2, and dual scale options are available. The Model 123 operates effectively within temperatures of -40°F to +200°F (-40°C to +93°C) and supports working pressures up to 5000 PSIG (340 Bar). Constructed from materials like aluminium and 316/316L stainless steel, the gauge’s internal components include a 316 stainless steel piston and ceramic magnet.

Common applications for the Model 123 encompass filter and strainer monitoring, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, refrigerant monitoring, pump performance testing, and heat exchanger pressure drop monitoring. For those needing an accurate and robust solution for high differential pressure ranges, the Model 123 offers a perfect balance of performance and reliability.

What are the electrical switch specifications? Mid-West Instrument switches are designed to be mechanically adjustable, allowing customers to set the switch within a specified adjustment range of the instrument. Additionally, Mid-West can preset switch set points upon customer request. These switches require no power to operate and can feature one or two independently adjustable switches. Available switch output options include:

  • SPDT 3W, 0.25 Amp, 125 VAC/VDC
  • SPST 60W, 3.0 Amp, 240 VAC/VDC (Normally Open)
  • SPDT 60W, 3.0 Amp, 240 VAC/VDC (Normally Closed)
  • SPST 60W, 3.0 Amp, 240 VAC/VDC (1 Normally Open, 1 Normally Closed)
  • SPDT 60W, 1.0 Amp, 240 VAC/VDC

The switches come in weather-resistant NEMA 4X electrical enclosures and are CE marked for Low Voltage and RoHS Directives for non-hazardous locations. Additional options include a DIN connector and configurations for hazardous locations, including Class I Division II (Groups A, B, C, and D) and Class II Division II (Groups F and G).
