Mid-West Model 130 Diaphragm Type Differential Pressure Gauge, 0.2 – 15 PSID

ABLE Instruments are Mid-West Instrument’s Official Representative for Sales and Service in the UK and Ireland, including the Model 130 Diaphragm Type Differential Pressure Gauge (0-0.2 to 0-15 PSID or equivalent). The Model 130 from Mid-West Instrument is a highly versatile and customisable convoluted diaphragm type differential pressure gauge, engineered to meet your most demanding requirements. This gauge boasts full-scale accuracies of ±5% for ranges from 0-5” to 0-9.9” H2O and ±3/2/3% for ranges from 0-10” H2O to 0-15 PSID / 400” H2O, ensuring precision in various applications. Its robust design is built to withstand harsh environments and offers multiple switch options, including those for hazardous locations, making it suitable for a wide array of industrial uses.

Key features of the Model 130 include its rugged convoluted diaphragm design, which provides reliable performance under challenging conditions. The gauge is housed in a glass-reinforced thermoplastic dial case that is panel mountable, with an anodized aluminium option available for added durability. It is weather-resistant and corrosion-resistant, offering over-range protection both high over low and low over high, ensuring longevity and safety. Backed by a five-year warranty, the Model 130 is a reliable choice for critical monitoring needs.

The gauge is available in dial sizes of 3-1/2” and 4-1/2” diameters, with differential full-scale ascending accuracy of ±5% (ASME B40.1 Grade D) for 0-5” H2O to 0-9.9” H2O, and ±3/2/3% (ASME B40.1 Grade B) for 0-10” H2O to 0-15 PSID. It supports a variety of dial scales, including Bar, Mbar, kPa, Kg/Cm2, and dual scales. The Model 130 can handle working pressures up to 500 PSIG (34 bar) and operates in temperatures ranging from -40°F to +200°F (-40°C to +93°C), with weather protection options compliant with NEMA 4X/IP65 standards.

Features:

  • Sturdy convoluted diaphragm design
  • Panel-mountable dial case made from glass-reinforced thermoplastic (optional anodised aluminium dial case available; contact ABLE for details)
  • Weather-resistant and corrosion-resistant
  • Over-range protection for both high-over-low and low-over-high

Constructed from materials such as polysulfone engineered plastic, brass, aluminium, and 316/316L stainless steel, the Model 130 ensures durability and chemical resistance. Internal wetted parts are made from 316 stainless steel and ceramic magnets, while elastomers used in the O-rings and diaphragm include Buna-N, Viton, silicone, neoprene, and ethylene propylene, tailored to different range limitations.

The Model 130 is ideal for applications such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR), flow indication and balancing, filter monitoring for gases, anhydrous ammonia applications, water treatment, and vacuum applications.

What are the electrical switch specifications? Mid-West Instrument switches are designed to be mechanically adjustable, enabling customers to set the switch within a specific adjustment range of the instrument. Upon customer request, Mid-West can also preset switch set points. All switches are CE marked in compliance with the EU Low Voltage and RoHS Directives, except for explosion-proof hazardous location switches, which are CSA and UL listed.

These switches do not require power to operate and can feature one or two independently adjustable switches. Available switch output options include SPDT 3W, 0.25 Amp, 125 VAC/VDC, which is CE marked to Low Voltage and RoHS Directives.

The electrical enclosures are weather-resistant, meeting NEMA 4X standards. For hazardous locations, they conform to NEMA 7 standards, suitable for Class I Division I Groups C & D, and Class II Division I Groups E, F & G. The complete assembly is third-party certified.
