The SITRANS Probe LU240 provides reliable, HART-enabled level, volume, and volumetric flow measurements in liquids, slurries, and dry bulk solids at ranges up to 12 m (40 ft). Featuring Siemens’ Process Intelligence signal processing logic and Auto False Echo Suppression, it automatically negates fixed obstructions like ladders, nozzles or agitators to maintain accurate readings.
Available with chemical-resistant ETFE or PVDF transducers and built-in temperature compensation, LU240 ensures long-term accuracy in challenging environments. Designed for easy installation, it supports mobile set-up via 4-button HMI or SIMATIC PDM, and can operate on minimal power, ideal for remote or low-energy systems. Certified intrinsically safe and designed for hazardous locations, the LU240 carries approvals including ATEX, IECEx, FM/CSA, INMETRO, and SABS, making it suitable for use in Zone 0/1/2 or Class I/II Div 1/2 environments.
