Designed to protect equipment and personnel involved in heavy industrial processes whilst preserving process uptime, the UE 120 Series is simple to install in hazardous locations and can provide critical alarm, safety and emergency shutdown functions. As an electromechanical switch, it can safely operate independently of the control system and switch reliably when needed, free from potential communication errors or cyber concerns. Typical applications that utilise the United Electric 120 Series include rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, and compressors, heat tracing, combustion systems, and oil, gas and chemical processing.

As safety requirements become more stringent, the determining factor in specifying an industrial pressure, differential pressure and/ or temperature switch rests upon that switch meeting hazardous location requirements and worldwide approvals and certifications. Fulfilling this criteria, UE’s 120 Series is the international choice where potentially explosive or highly corrosive atmospheres exist.
The United Electric 120 Series offers a variety of pressure, vacuum, differential pressure and temperature ranges, as well as process connections, wetted materials and sensor types. With a common flexible platform, models can quickly be adapted at the factory for special requirements, such as ranges, process connections and electrical ratings. Typical industries using UE 120 Series switches include chemical, petrochemical, refinery and oil & gas production and transmission.
