The McCrometer V-Cone® is an advanced differential pressure (DP) flow meter known for its accuracy, durability, and minimal maintenance requirements. Designed for challenging applications, it provides highly precise flow measurement in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, water, and chemical processing. The V-Cone’s unique design features a centrally mounted cone that conditions flow, reducing turbulence and ensuring stable readings. Unlike traditional orifice plates, it requires minimal straight-run piping, making it ideal for space-constrained environments. Its robust construction and long lifespan make it a cost-effective solution for reliable flow measurement in harsh operating conditions.

Propeller Meters: The Mc®Propeller and Water Specialties® meters are widely used in agricultural and municipal sectors for their durability and accuracy in measuring water flow.

Electromagnetic Meters: The Ultra Mag® and FPI Mag® meters provide precise measurements for various applications, including those in harsh environments. In September 2024, McCrometer expanded its Meter Repair Program to include these electromagnetic flow products, offering customers cost-effective solutions to maintain and upgrade their devices.

Strategic Acquisitions and Collaborations

McCrometer has strategically expanded its capabilities and market presence through key acquisitions and partnerships:

Acquisition of Automata, Inc.: In November 2011, McCrometer acquired Automata, Inc., a company specializing in telemetry systems and sensors. This acquisition led to the formation of McCrometer Connect™, a business unit focused on developing comprehensive wireless solutions for agriculture and rural water management applications.

Integration of Hach Flow Product Line: In July 2023, McCrometer announced the acquisition of the Hach Flow product line, which focuses on open-channel flow monitoring for municipal customers. This integration expanded McCrometer’s municipal flow portfolio, enabling the company to offer a more holistic suite of products for drinking water and wastewater application.

Collaboration with Hach: Building on their shared vision as Veralto Water Quality Segment Operating Companies, McCrometer and Hach collaborated to introduce a portfolio of closed pipe and open channel flow solutions branded as Hach’s Flow Solutions by McCrometer. Announced in September 2024, this collaboration aims to provide municipal water and wastewater utilities with accurate, reliable, and easy-to-use products. The portfolio includes solutions such as the FLO-DAR® AV Sensor, Ultra Mag®, and FPI Mag® meters.
