The latest developments from Atexxo include Intrinsically Safe versions of the iPad Mini 5 and 6, which are originally manufactured by Apple then converted and certified according to ATEX and IECEx by Atexxo Manufacturing. This makes the tablets suited for safe use in gas/vapour Zone 1 & 2 hazardous locations and/or where there is a risk of dust explosions (Zone 21 and 22). All variants are 64GB and are Wi-Fi /4G enabled.

Key Fact: Unlike other ATEX iPad brands, who only supply the ATEX case, Atexxo products include both the iPad and the customised ATEX case, meaning no additional time or cost is incurred sourcing an iPad, or sending it for adaptation via a 3rd party.

Compliance with ATEX / EX regulations is achieved by modification of the casing together with the electrical circuit, which makes the tablets suitable for safe use in Zone 1 hazardous locations.
